The success of Sustainability Assessment is dependent on a number of different interpretations. Key amongst these are:
The definition of sustainability (Whether it is should be “weak”or”strong”)
The timescales over which sustainability is actually assessed and its relevance to “intergenerational” impacts.
The extent to which the assessment process is reductionist or holistic.
In no more than 3,000 words, explain the different views which can be found in the academic literature on each of these interpretations, and indicate which of the interpretations currently prevail, examining the implications for the ability of sustainability assessment to achieve sustainable outcomes.
(1. sustainability的定义应该强还是弱好呢？2.assess sustainability的时间尺度，和与两代之间影响的关联性 3. assess过程中对于简化和涵盖的范围………………等等等)
